Changing idle pully

The belt tensioner, the one right below the alternator is making a ton of squeeking sounds. Anyone have any tech tips on how to change it, or any write ups?

If i have to bring it to a shop, there telling me that its better to change the whole assembly, which is 120$, and the pully is just $20

yea, turn the bolt to the right (its oppesite thread) and take the bolt off, the pulley will then slide off, then reverse processes...................................................

have you looked at it yet????

i know its this pully because if I take a prybar and mput pressure on the bolt, the squeek stops.

So that bolt that doesn't turn, has reverse threads and that it? The shop mentioned to me it would be a good idea for the whole assembly?

yea, that bolt that is not losening for you, is reverse thread.

simple turn it the other way, then the pulley will slide off. if a new pulley does not stop the squeak THEN get a new assembly.

and if that new assembly comes with a new pulley, well then you can use that other good/fresh/spins like new pulley for the supercharger idler pulley :th_thumbsup-wink:
