Change Oil on dic

I have an 08 base and I recently changed the oil. After I changed the oil, the dic says "Change Oil" every time the key is turned on. it also says that oil life is at 0%. I reset it but the message keeps coming back. I also disconnected the battery for a while and that didn't help either. Any ideas on what's up? Thanks in advance.
 


Disconnecting the battery won't reset it. You need to cycle through the DIC until it says Reset Oil Life Monitor. You can also turn the key to the on position (not start) and press the gas pedal 3 times in succession.
 
The other way to do it is have the car in park and cycle through the DIC menu on the "i" button (information). One of the screens will say something like "reset oil life monitor system (->)". Press and hold the arrow DIC button for a few seconds and it will reset.
