Changable Color Interior LEDs

okay so Ive been throwing around some ideas lately and one of them was changing my trunk light to an LED which Im pretty sure you can do simply by splicing into the trunk light that's there already but I have red LEDs in the trunk already that beat when my subs hit (very simple mod that I really like, one of my first ones after putting in the audio stuff) so I planned to put it on a switch that can do - whites on- all off- reds on. which would be fairly simple but it got me thinking... I have red lights on my interior that are not LEDS but I plan to upgrade them to LEDS but some people complain about them being red with awful light output... now I know LEDs are much brighter but I think it would be sweet to also be able to switch the interior lights between red and white... has anyone done this before or think it would be fairly simple to do? ...im guessing that you would probably have to run new wires and try and squeeze extra bulbs where they aren't meant to be... any input would be nice!

Sounds like to much work to me. I have red interior LEDs and added some for the floor boards in the rear and added a couple extras up front to and they light the car up fine...actually better than stock

the trunk light is a pain in the ass, doesnt get 12v for some reason.

getting rid of the red, you talking switches, cluster etc??not impossible, switching between the 2? no happneing.

Yea for my trunk lighting I'm currently running a 12v line from the fuse box with my own on off switch because of that problem. But I'm just putting white lights back there so I can see good. When I get my sound system I'll probably add another circuit for just looking good to

Is it wired to the light sensor? I bet it only comes on when it's dark outside and the sensor kicks on the headlights... Haven't tested yet but just a thought
