Hey guys, i was quite happy to find this forum. I play mechanic on my motorbikes and am pretty active on those types of sites and was quite happy to find a forum for the mighty GP... mine is a 99 that my teenagers drove and now its my goal to take it the rest of the way. 139000 miles and running strong...
I had corrected the issue of the water into the fan and the passenger side floor... after 3 years of a fox it started again so i decided to look around and saw the replacement part for under 5 bucks and 30 minutes later and 5 bucks we are good to go!
in light of that this forum deserves my participation...
i have a new issue as i am using the car to commute to work (30 miles one way) i filled the fuel and started driving... all week as matter of fact i was shocked to see the great gas mileage... no lower than 3/4 full at the end of the week! well it dawned on me that something was wrong... used to reading the odometer on the motorbikes to gauge fuel usage i stopped and filled it up and whoa that was close! she took 13 gallons...
so now i have an issue with the fuel gauge...
last night i took the wife to a movie... on the way home the auto light on sensor let the lights go out? i turned the switch and all is well but what the heck! two issues in the first week of calling this rig my commuter vehicle
i hope the folks here on the forum can help... so far we are off to a great start... now i need to spend some time searching to see what the deal is...
i look forward to reading and working with you guys! i'd like to see 200,000 miles out of this car!
