• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Been lurking for a few years so I thought it was time to introduce myself. Currently own a 2007 GP base with about 93,000 miles on it. I have only had it a few months, so haven't really done any modifications to it.

The biggest mod so far was to cut the middle out of the pig snouts which made a huge difference in the way the rear end looks.

Last week the ABS and Traction Control lights came on. I had a feeling I knew what corner was causing the problem and found the wire was bouncing against the axle on the left side. It's been sitting in the rain and humidity for 4 days so the rotors are rusty.

The piece that holds it on the brace was broken so I taped up the wire near the hub (it was just barely through the insulation on one wire) and zip tied it back in to place.

Since I was feeling saucy, I decided to see how dirty the throttle body was. Yup, blacker than Satan's @sshole.

It's all better now, and just a tad more responsive on the go pedal

It's a nice driving car for what it is, but the only thing I don't care for is the wheels. Way too much chrome on them, and the previous owner didn't really take care of them. I don't have a picture of them after I used Mother's on them, but yeah, just a little too much bling for me. Okay, not just a little, a lot.

I would also like to thank a lot of the members here that have helped others with problems on these cars. I've really learned a lot just by browsing through the threads. It really is a shame GM thought it wise to end the Pontiac name and especially the Grand Prix. I've seen quite a few running around here, but nobody seems to have an interest in meeting other GP owners.

You been here since 2010 and this only your second post...??!! Lol
I see you're from Springfield also

Decatur area here. I am Restoring a 72 GP. Hence the name. Looks like most on the site have more modern GP's. I'm kind of a Pontiac freak in general, as I also have a 73 Grand Am, and a 2009 G8 GXP. Looks like a fun site.

I've learned a lot about Grand Prix's on this and a couple other forums. While I do like the modern day form, I really like the early 70's the best. Any pics of your build?
