Been lurking for a few years so I thought it was time to introduce myself. Currently own a 2007 GP base with about 93,000 miles on it. I have only had it a few months, so haven't really done any modifications to it.
The biggest mod so far was to cut the middle out of the pig snouts which made a huge difference in the way the rear end looks.
Last week the ABS and Traction Control lights came on. I had a feeling I knew what corner was causing the problem and found the wire was bouncing against the axle on the left side. It's been sitting in the rain and humidity for 4 days so the rotors are rusty.
The piece that holds it on the brace was broken so I taped up the wire near the hub (it was just barely through the insulation on one wire) and zip tied it back in to place.
Since I was feeling saucy, I decided to see how dirty the throttle body was. Yup, blacker than Satan's @sshole.
It's all better now, and just a tad more responsive on the go pedal
It's a nice driving car for what it is, but the only thing I don't care for is the wheels. Way too much chrome on them, and the previous owner didn't really take care of them. I don't have a picture of them after I used Mother's on them, but yeah, just a little too much bling for me. Okay, not just a little, a lot.
I would also like to thank a lot of the members here that have helped others with problems on these cars. I've really learned a lot just by browsing through the threads. It really is a shame GM thought it wise to end the Pontiac name and especially the Grand Prix. I've seen quite a few running around here, but nobody seems to have an interest in meeting other GP owners.
