Center Console fiberglass IPod Dock

So instead of having my Ipod floating around in my car I decided to make it a permanent home.

Test Fitting and more Test Fitting. not to mention making the device to hold the Ipod chord and Ipod Cradle

Sanding and more Rage Gold

Primer and Paint

Painted Red to match and I glued a piece of black leather for the back of the Ipod to rest on so it does not get scratched over time from the road vibrations.

This holder will fit every ipod on the market. Not sure about the stupid Ipod Shuffle but who really uses one of those anyway???

Fiber glass is not very hard to do especially if you can find fiberglass resin other than the Bondo brand, and make sure you don’t add to much hardener or it will get thick real fast. Also make sure you have a pad sander with 120 grit. Use Rage Gold premium light weight body filler because it sands light chalk vs a rock (aka Bondo brand).

Kinda blocks the tray behind it from being accessible while listening to music. Other than that, looks good.

The Ipod is at enough of an angle that the tray still opens and clears my ipod. But yes with the tray open you cant see the screen but my flipup tv is where i select the songs from so it does not bother me that much.
