CB In Grand Prix

I just bought a cb that is about the same size as the pull out ashtray in my grand prix. The question i have is does anyone know if a cb can be wired to an onstar antenna? Or does anyone know if i can cut into the cord that runs to the cigarette lighter in the tray and use it to hard wire my cb? Any knowledge anyone can share would be much appreciated!!!

I know you will not be able to use the on-star antenna and even if you would mod it so it would you would get any range at all. When I had my Grand Am I hard wired mine into the non-existent sun roof in the fuse box.
 
I doubt it. From what i've heard a CB won't work worth a damn without the proper antenna, you must have an tune able antenna to tune your SWRs to 0. I'd love to put my CB setup in my GP, I just don't want the antenna though.

One of these days I may look into getting getting a handheld unit that is peaked and tuned...
