Catalytic Conveter direct fit

Hi Guys,
I need help with my catalytic converter. My service engine soon light is on and code says bad catalytic converter. I do not want to cut and weld universal CAT. I want the whole new assembly as old one is rusted. I found 2-3 CATs online but I am not sure which one to select. It says 37 inch 40 inch. Front side, driver side. I am confused. Can anyone help me select right one? I have 2001 Grand Prix SE. 3.1 V6.
1) This is 37 Inch
Eastern Catalytic Converter Direct OE Replacement, High Flow OE Replacement

2) This is 40 inch
Eastern Catalytic Converter Direct OE Replacement, High Flow OE Replacement

3) This says nothing
2001-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix - Magnaflow Front Catalytic Converter - Direct OE Replacement, High Flow OE Replacement

Please help me guys. I am counting on you.

I totally sympathize, it seems half the “part finder” software on the net are inaccurate. My advice to you is to buy your converter from a chain store in your area like AutoZone or O’Reilly’s. At least you will have a real person to deal with incase it doesn’t fit. Also, be warned any converter with “high flow” might throw you a code also. I wouldn’t risk it, if I were in your place. So be warned, all of your choices are high flow. :th_wavefinger:

Finally got it done and ended up paying $265 through local garage. I did not change the whole pipe though. Guys just buy universal CAT ( Only middle piece) online for $74-80, go to local mechanic, cut the middle part and weld the new one. Pay for 1 Hr labor. The whole thing should not cost you more than 150-160.

That's good you got it done...High Flow converter's do tend to trip the SES Light sometimes...the first DP looks like it would have fit fine...and it is high flow so you would have gotten a little better MPG's and a little more performance too.
