CASE Learn using DHP

I believe the Turbo needs a CASE learn after the work I did on the front cover. I have DHP. I can't find anything online about how to do it. I've also never plugged the tuner into the car, so maybe the button just shows up? Anyone done a CASE learn before? With DHP.

I'll look at the software tonight and post the procedure. Its kind of a hidden menu option then the prompts on the screen walk you through it.

Start the car
Connect the DHP
Select Scantool from main menu bar
In the Scan Vehicle sub window select Real Time Control > Crankcase Position Variation Learn

Follow the onscreen prompts

Well, got DHP setup finally. With the correct drivers going through COM4. Got to the CASE learn screen. Started the learn. Depressed the parking brake after crossing my fingers, luckily it didn't get stuck!
First it said can't do the test because of active DTC's. Cleared the active DTC code, the Crank Sensor code. Got the CASE learn going. But then got this message below. The car would only rev to 4000-4100 RPM before hitting the limiter. I thought it was suppose to be much higher then that?

yep that's the RPM limit in park or neutral.
got WOT until it stutters and let off. it just takes a plot second and you won't hurt anything. the PCM measures the variations on the way up and down.

Got it. I will have to try it again. It was 10:02pm and I don't think the neighbors were too happy so I had to quit. Gonna mess with it this weekend.
It just seems like DHP gives you a small amount of time to get the test done. You gotta hurry. When it hit the limiter I just kept gunning it! BAHAHAH. Said GO WOT! So I did. I will let off this time at first hint of limiter.
I really hope to get this done, cuz otherwise, I am leak free right now. Only problem is this damn code. Front cover gasket and seal are holding up. Despite the broken bolt and my Great Wall of RTV.

Can't get it to do the Learn procedure. Just keeps saying GO WOT! and then again GO WOT! I am going WOT damn it. It's like it's not sensing that I've got my fott on the gas. I don't know. I tried in Neutral as well. Revved to like 5,000+ RPMs with no limiter. I took my foot off the gas.

The DHP book makes mention of this below, Case Learn Override. Anyone have any more insight as to what that is? And if it will help. Thanks

I have that code for the cam sensor. I always have to clear it before running the Learn or the Learn won't initialize.

maybe its time to fix that issue. cam sensor and crank and icm all talk, if one is not talking back im sure thats why it failed to do the learn.

I thought the learn might clear the issue. Reading older threads it seems it will throw a code of it needs a Learn.
I tried fixing the issue already. Replaced cam sensor with brand new Delco sensor. And replaced ICM harness with a “new” minty one. Left do is see if wire going to PCM is bad, or maybe I knocked the black magnet out somehow when putting the front cover back on? Didn’t want to take that cover off ever again. Fukk.

Would anyone be able to provide a PCM pinout diagram that shows the Cam sensor input?

magnet is in the cam gear, doubt it would have been knocked out. Glad to see she still hates you LOL.

Ohh. She hates me. She’s running. But not the best. She Burns SOOO much gas. Exhaust smells so rich. OMG. But no leaks from that front cover. Which was the goal.

Also. Found the PCM info I need. Apparently I’m looking for the black wire, #7 pin, on the blue connector. That black wire is a common failure point on the Riviera. But the Riv’s wiring setup is a little different so the failure point won’t be in the same spot.
