Alright here's the deal. Went to start my car this morning with my remote start (avital 5303) and it worked perfectly and about 5 min later the car turned off. Went to start it again and nothing. all of the lights light up but when I go to turn it over it just clicks. Tried jumping it and nothing happened. Is it the starter, plugs and wires, or coils.

Sounds like a ground came loose.

If the starter just clicks there usually is a grounding problem, the car could shut off for the same reason as it wouldnt charge the battery.

I'd start there.

Just ordered a OBD ii bluetooth scanner for the torque app. hopefully it's not anything to big. Is there any possibility it could be a fuse or ignition relay? Also I'm in Michigan and it got down to - 27 degrees last night

sounds like a dead starter. what mine did, just a click in the dash, and no crank. try hitting the starter with a hammer while someone holds the key to start. if it cranks over after hitting it, the starter is bad.

google for a local starter / alternator re builder. most of the time they are cheaper then the parts store, and you got a local warranty with it. if they dont have one to exchange for your old one they can rebuild it in like a hour most of the time.
