Car wont start

I went to start my car (2000 GT) and as soon as i tried to start it everything went dead. Its almost like its shorting out somehow. Interior lights work when doors are open and key is in off position. Interior lights shut off when I tap the brakes. Also cant lock or unlock the car with the key fob. Battery is fully charged.

check your battery cables and the ground on the bell housing of the trans. could also be a bad starter solenoid.

also check for corrosion on cables. if all is well you could have a bad ignition switch

Cables were fine. forgot to mention when i tried to start the car there was a click. sounded like it was coming from the fusebox area. fuses were fine though

if you heard a click that was likely the starter. you can try to hit it with a hammer see if it works after 2 or 3 good hits. if it starts up after that you need a new starter.

Well turns out it was the battery. Really weird. Battery showed full charge when i tested it, but when i tried to jump it I was able to almost start it. Got a new battery in it and is running great.
