Car wont fully start without giving it gas... wtf

alright I have an 04 grand prix gt...
problem: Everytime i go to start my car it wont start fully... it comes like a hair short but just quits out...
What i've tried to fix the problem: new fuel filter, new air filter, new spark plugs, check all relays and fuses, ran injector cleaner through it i don't know how many times, thought maybe the key was programmed wrong (heard about it on a jeep)...

I'm at my witts end and I'm just a college kid trying to find the cheapest solution...

the only way it fires up completely is by givin it a lil' gas..... any ideas suggestions, preferably some magic words'll do but help me out...

i have the same prolem on my 1994 grand prix se... i wonder if its related? mine also dosnt like to idle smooth all the time.. it bouces between 1500 and 2500... and i cant seem to get the check engine light to display the codes as mines an obd1 car and you can just jump pins...

Check your fuel pump. When you get in the car and turn the key do you give the fuel pump enough time to pressure up before you attempt to start the car or do you just hop in and try to start it?

Check the maf sensor too, clean it. Then unplug it and try to start the car, if it does change something its probably not the culprit.

Check vac hoses for leaks also

try taking the tb off and cleaning around the throttle blade, maybe its stuck. i know there was a thread on here about cleaning it b/c crap will get built up around it and since its an electronically controlled throttle its picky. not for sure but worth a try.

couldnt sleep last night so decided to fiddle around with it... removed the throttle body, caked with gunk... used carb/choke cleaner and sprayed the **** out of it, and the inside of the intake manifold.... struggled starting up the 1st time but i figured that was all the gunk and cleaner making its way through the engine... a day and bout 15 starts l8r... not a single problem...

Wow, I'm having the exact same problem on the exact same car. It doesn't do this every time, just about 20-30% of the time. I can't wait to try this. Thanks!!!

This was very close
I suspect the IAC but at any rate first thing to try is cleaning. I don't know if you took off the IAC best to take it out clean it and chamber behind.
If it was real dirty I would remove the TB clean it real good.
One thing the IAC is fairly sturdy for cleaning you can wipe them with a clean rag and cleaner but touch should no more the you would use for a camera lens it can bend also the sol that moves it around can't be forced.
