Car stalls when i put it in drive and rev up the engine

Update: turns out my dad put total fluid h3 instead of dexron. what kind of issues could this cause?

Sorry if this has been posted before, but ive searched and i cant find a similar problem. When i put my car (2000 grand prix gtp) into drive it stalls when i apply gas. i checked the forward apply band, changed filter and fluid. The problem first started when i was cruising at around 75 mph. The car started slipping real bad and wouldnt work until i pulled over and restarted the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
