So i was driving home and the gtp was running good. went home, 15 mins later started it up and the rpms were everywhere. well i pulled outta the driveway thinking the rpm thing would clear, and i put it in drive and it seems like its missing or its not getting fuel. took to autozone, ya i no there scanners arent the best, but still pulled no misfire codes. guy there has a gtp too and he said clean my maf. so i did and seemed like it helped, but still did it. later today i drove like 20 mins and it seemed like it was fine, then it did it again. What should i do now? could my maf be taking a dump on me? should i get new plugs? k&n filter is dirty could that be hurting anything besides a dirty filter? it dont do it every like sec or min, but i can almost make it miss or whatever if i try. it does do it with medium load and heavy load. even in park my rpms are fine then out of nowhere they dip to like 500rpm n surge back up to 1500 then idle fine. whats wrrrooonggg with it. thanks.

Could be the maf sensor just starting to go bad. Try to get it to do it while it's running in park and then if it does it, try unplugging the maf sensor and see if it stops right away. If it does, it's a bad maf sensor.

if the RPMs are jumping it sounds like a vacuum leaks, which can develop at any time for no reason, especially if your vacuum lines are old and crusty.

maybe, but driving to work it was fine, started up a little funny, but drove fine. stopped at dukin donuts, started back up and did it again. stopped at a light and died out. what could it be.

Vacuum leak or maybe the crankshaft sensor. When I had mine the rpms would jump a little in park then when I went to stop at a light later that day the rpms were jumping then it just died. But started right back up and later found out it was the crankshaft sensor. I would look at that.

well it finally threw a code, p0102. probably the maf sensor. a mechanic at work tapped on the sensor and ever time he did that, the car almost would die out. he said its shorted in it, so all i need to do is waddle over to the parts store asap and see if it fixes the problem. I wonder if the k&n cone filter has anything to do with it......
