I have a 2005 Prix and it is loosing coolant, i have heard GM redesigned these gaskets yet i do not know when, they went from plastic to metal.. anyone know when they did that??? I have a gravity funnel to refill radiators during fluid change you can watch air bubbles coming up though it and they get less and less but never stop!! Im thinking lower intake gaskets....

also NO milky oil,,, just losing coolant with no noticeable leaks...

wierd but the 07 motor i have did have plastic gaskets. bubbles could mean head gasket.
could be coolant elbows? you should be able to see a leak somewhere

hmm obviously it has to go somewhere. heater core leaking? any coolant on the lim by the injectors? weep hole on the WP dry?

I have heard the headgaskets are very good on these motors and a upper or lower intake can mimmmic a head gasket failure. That's why I'm leaning toward that. Looked At the coolant elbows and they look good. That's crazy the 07 has the plastic lim gaskets.

I heard they started fixing it in 04'...some of them got the aluminum ones and some remained plastic but that's supposed to be when they made the switch
