Car hesitates under moderate to heavy throttle and the CEL flahes continuously!!!

Hello all..I have a 2008 GP with the 3800 series 3 with only 65000 miles. My car has started to hesitate under moderate to heavy acceleration and the check engine light blinks as this occurs but does not stay on. I went to autozone to have the codes scanned but they found no codes mainly because they said the check engine light is not staying on. Not really sure what to do about this problem. Any insight would be most appreciated. Thanks..

I do want to point out however, that less than a year ago my car was having the same exact problem and it turned out to be the catalytic converter. That was replaced and the hesitation issue went away and the CEL never came back on.
 


a blinking light usually means you have a misfire. check your plugs and wires. could also be a vacuum leak.
 
are you turning the car off when you bring it to a/z for them to check it? Flashing CEL usually means imminent cat damage an should set a DTC. If they arent finding codes theres a chance they are being cleared after a key cycle, I would check them without turning the key off if they can.

Yes the car was turned off when he scanned for codes. I will go back and see if they can check without turning the key off. Thanks.
