Car going crazy when trying to start

The other day when I tried to start my car it went crazy...the horn started honking, my wipers started going, trunk popped open, and the starter would just click. I cleaned the positive battery terminal as it was completely corroded. So bad the connected snapped off when I attempted to remove it. I cleaned the terminal and put a new cnnector on it
. Worked fine for about a week. It it seemed a little weak when trying to start the car though. Do you think I just need to replace the battery? I'm not sure why it would cause my car to do all that stuff. Today it did it again and won't start. Just honks clicks and pops my trunk open.

Hate bringing up an old thread, but im currently having the same issue with my 07 and cant seem to find a solution. Did you ever get it straightened out?
 
From what I've gathered, when these Grand Prix's start doing really wacky shyt like that, it is the ignition itself acting up. The ignition at the steering column might need to be replaced.
