cant get sub to work

Ok so i installed my new in-dash dvd player tonight and after some fiddling around i got the speakers to finally work. but i cant get my subwoofer to turn on. my amp and cap turn on but there is no sound coming out of the sub. on my deck there is a brown subwoofer out rca. but its only one, and then theres the front and rear red/white rca outs. and aux outs. i tried every combination to try and get this work and no luck. any suggestions?

The subs can also be tested quick and easy by touching a 9V battery across its terminals for a brief second WITHOUT it connected to the amp, it should make a pop\thump sound and move a little.

This is a good trick to polarize speakers as well if your not sure how their wired.

Ok sub is used nd I know it works had it hooked up before and it pounded. RCAs are ran from the front speakers out of the RCA on the deck and the in on the amp. It only hits when I have my music blasting to the point where I cnt hear. Nd even then it's not very loud. I'm thinking about splicing my RCA back in to where it was when I had my factory head unit. Anyone else ever have this problem? I have a Bose stock system btw with a kicker l7, boss 3600w amp, 2farad cap, and an xovision in-dash DVD

probably a wiring issue... retrace all ur wires make sure they are hooked up properly. inspect rca's make sure they dont have any damage.

does the amplifier have any input level controls. make sure they are turned up, check the level output on the head unit as well.
