Can't get my key out of the ignition!!!

Hi everyone, just got my grand prix back from the body shop after having the frame straightened and i took the dash out to replace the passenger air bag. Put everything back together and turned the key on and everything works and runs, but the key will NOT come out of the ignition switch. Help please?!?!?
 


why wont it come out are u turning the key back enought if it wont turn back there is a release button under the streering column
 
there's a little button underneath the steering column you can push with a screw driver after you get the cap off. It'll let your key come out. Easiest way to fix it is to zip tie the button down. Mine's worked great for over a year now. If I recall correctly, three torx screws gets the lower half of the cover off.

...otherwise you replace the solenoid....
 
hey no problem. Happened to me the first day I owned my car (last year) too! ...google search helped me out, and I think the answer may have been on this forum.

Anyhow, glad it worked for you. Make sure you get that zip tie on there or keep a screwdriver handy. I had the screwdriver in the car for a long time just in case the zip tie came off, but it never did.
 
Just pull really hard on your key one time while its in your ignition and the key will come out at any time.... It's kinda nice to be able to leave my car running and take my keys with me....
