Awhile ago i was looking around on here and there was a aftermarket cd player adapter (the plastic part that bolts ur cd player to the car) i really liked this one that i found on the forum because i guess you could get like custom lettering and coloring on it but now i cant find it anywhere. its probably just because i dont know what the heck to call the thing but if i could get any help with this that would be great. i want to get my cd player put in but i dont want to but a temporary adapter because that is just a waste of money when id just turn around and replace it.

that is definatly the peice that i am looking for but the one that i was looking at was just raised painted lettering not illiumated. i like that idea but i dont know if i want to put up with that light all the time.
 


do you think i could put like a dimmer witch on a set of lights like that? because if i could control it a little more i think id really like the lights becasue by looking at thier product it seems to be pretty nice stuff. or would i just be best off tapping into the interior lights that dim with the dimmer switch to the left of the steering weel?

I'm not sure about that, they are nice.
I don't know how bright the light is but it might be possible to place a piece of film between the light and plastic that would reduce the light output so it isn't as bright but I don't know about a dimmer switch. They might have a dimmer switch at radio shack that you could try.
 
You don't have to purchase the humount with LEDs, they give you the option to select LED or no LED. But for 20 bucks more, its sooooooooooooo worth the extra little bit or money! And it is not that bright to require a dimmer hookup, imo of course :)

ya ur right that is definatly what im going to do ive been thinking about it alot and i like it. do you guys have a perference on an item that would boost the pre amps for things like sub woffers? thats the other thing that i have to buy just so i get it all done at once. thankyou guys so much for the help its been great
 
do you guys think that i should get red lit lettering or blue bc the cars lights are red but my cd players are blue? opinions?
 


I am saying the dimmer control because I am not sure about other people but I like to have my lights on really dim at night on the highway so if you wire them into the dimmer switch you can control them that way.
 
ya thats kind of what i was thinking. what do you guys think about color becasue im pretty sure that im going to get the colored ones
