Can you remove the B pillar trim on an 01?

4 door, the PO put carbon fiber tape on the b pillars :th_bangheadonwall:. It is terrible to come off, but worse yet underneath is rusty. I want to paint them up again and make them look nice, will they come off the car?

the part where both doors are side by side "originally black" chip easy and the paint sucks. i hear ya man but i dont think they come off.
 
yep, they sure do come off
i had all 4 off this weekend for fixing


gotta roll the window down.
pull the window weather stripping out, but not off competly, leave it attached near the mirror.
then you will see 2/3 screws for the b pillar, take those out, and the 4-5 for the window trim at the top.
take the screw off on the back corner.

pull up and preseto
its out.

reverse to get it back in.

PS what else do you call this piece? I am having issues finding it anywhere online (In case I decide to replace rather than paint)
 
no problemo, they are bit of a pain to get back in. just make sure you pay attention to how you take them out, wanna make sure the weather stripping on the mouldings goes back where its supose to be.
