Can I run gas on untuned 42lb injectors?

I would be inclined to think there was something wrong with the vehicle if it was running single digits of timing advance. all the tunes ive ever looked at had at least 12+ timing advance
It's probably unique to 05+. I just drove a Malibu that when you let off the gas would go 15* ATDC and the only reason I could tell was that the Cat temp would shoot up a couple hundred degrees and once it stabilized that stopped.
my car runs fine and I can't tell the timing is that low, but when I kick the compressor on the timing will advance to approximately 8-9*.
when you put it in gear it moves back up as you can see in the graph. I didn't run the AC at all so that's no engine load as far as the compressor is concerned.
