i have a 2002 gtp the 40th anniversary with a intake, zzp catback exhaust and 10.3mm zzp spark plug wires and 104 autolite spark plugs. I want to run a 3.4 pulley but i dont know if i could just let me know if i could or if i need more supporting mods.

intake- you have
catback- no performance gains what so ever
sparkplug wires- no performance gains, just a little tougher

you need headers if you plan on going further with your modding or you can run a plog and 3" downpipe and be stuck with the 3.4" pulley unless you intercool

well what size do u think i could run with my set up now cause i want more power but i have problems doing stuff like headers........(which sucks ***)

If you wanna go for easy mods, go for a 3" DP and/or tuned PCM. You can buy those cheap here in the parts for sale section if you don't want to spend much. I wouldn't recommend a pulley size drop yet it will only raise your KR.

I will go with that but what if i run a 3.5 for now cause honestly money isnt an issue i just want power

if money isnt an issue then why did you not build the setup a little more? you NEED headers for anything past a basic 3.4 setup.

if money isnt an issue buy some headers and have someone else install for you. this way youll be satisfied and if you decide one day that the 3.4 setup isnt fast enough youll have the ability to do more

At min get a dp.

I've got downpipe
1st Gen Intense PCM-extremely basic tune
Speed built intake
3.4 pulley

If anything scan that ***** and see where it's at.

Scan yours too...because it's probably knocking like a b1tch.

 WRONG !

You must be one that believes all the hype as well that you need headers to run a 3.4 pulley. God the vendors have fed you so much that you believe whatever comes out of their mouth's. :th_laugh-lol2: Guess people tend to forget business's are here to make money, and any way they can skew data they typically will.

Like I stated in my intro thread. This 3.4 pulley has been on since 98 with O KR, plenty of WOT runs, and the engine has 180,XXX miles. Funny, no chipped pistons, blown engines. God that's so odd compared to what people that just recently got into the GP scene say. The only thing that has taken place is the tranny taking a dump. But that's probably from the 3.4 pulley. :th_nanana:

how much timing?

And some engines will be able to do that.

Others wont be able to run a 3.4 even with headers.

And the vendors are the ones who say you need less mods.

Headers are $205 to your door now.... kinda makes sense to just get it over with.

HA! So its slow. I was one who proved vendors wrong...posting up the thread in my signature...because it is the RIGHT way to do things...so your one of the 1 out of 1,000 people who don't knock with a 3.4"...what do you want...a medal?

Good job btw...and the tranny doesn't take a dump from a pulley swap...it takes a dump from the way you drive it.

Slow is a term that is different for everyone. I consider 9.1's/9.2's in the 1/8th in Texas heat to be decently quick, but that's just me.

And you didn't catch my sacrasm about the pulley I was making fun of your previous post. And yes, typically when you put on a smaller pulley you are going to want to get on it, but you didn't catch that. :th_laugh-lol3:
