Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Or is it locked or something...just dont want to wast any credits...ya know?...will i be able to see exactly how there bin (''tune'')is set up?

does anybody know if i would try to read it ...would it use my credits? or would it just say cannot access bin file or something? thanks

The DHP is programed so you can't read it but you can scan it, if that makes sense. In other words you can't pull the bin files off the pcm. I think you can write over the dhp programing but that makes it worthless if you ever want to sell it. BTW just wondering why you want to read it? Are you wanted to tune it to get rid of some kr? If so you are better starting from scratch.

well my buddy has a top swapped gt with a dhp pcm.he also has a another pcm that someone tuned for somebody else (not his car but the mods were the same). I scanned pcm#2 and he was getting around 4* of kr. I have not yet scanned the dhp and was just wondering if i could see there bin programming.

Since i cant i guess i will just start with the other pcm and go from there if after i scan the dhp there is still kr present(wich i'm sure there will be)

Or I may just use my 1999 stock bin since i am not sure what the other pcm has on it

I am not sure what is required when doing a top swap, but if you own your own tuner or have access to one I would just start from scratch. You will learn the most this way and you will also know what your tune consists of. The DHP 1.0 is just a basic tune and it works great on some cars and not so great on others. Here is a great place to learn about tuning and it will also help you get a nice bin started Main Page - OpenTuner Notebook

I'm going to do it that way....probably just set up the trans shiftpoints fan turn on's off''s ect (the basic stuff) then do a maf tune and play with the timing a little...like i said it is a biddy of mines car and he gave me like 80.00 to cover the credits.
