hi all im new to the forum but am part of a few other forums and i am a mod on those but im unfamiliar with the grand prix platform and i just purchased one about 2 weeks ago. my question is about the supercharger which im sure every forum noob has asked about but i have a family member who wrecked the same gen grand prix as mine but his is supercharged and he is offering me whatever parts i want for free so im asking for a direct reply or a url to show me what i need to pull off the supercharged one. also are the engine and transmissions the same? is it just a direct bolt on swap? any info would be appreciated guys. oh btw my vehicle is an 06 grand prix base with the standard 3800 series III non-supercharged and his is the exact same plus a supercharger.

Hi there Newbie.. Welcome. I retitled your thread to help you get better exposure. As the guys already posted, there are a few ways to do what you are asking.

Enjoy

Thanks so much for giving me links and not being a jerk Haha ill be worshiping that info for the next month or so. The only reason I don't wanna swap engines is because mine has 60,000 miles and his has 100,000 or so

Yeah you can learn a lot from those threads. Read and ask questions and you should have very little issues with the swap.

40K miles isnt really a big difference for these engines. If you top swap it will probably be less reliable then an engine where the cylinders havent seen daylight since it was at the factory.

Take the motor, trans and pcm from it... Swap it all in and you are good to go!

No tuning, no dinking around, nothing, you then will have a supercharged car, and a low mile drivetrain to sell to someone.
