The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Has anyone had to replace a broke cam sprocket? I have a 92 engine that someone must have used a pry bar on and broke a chunk off the back side of the sprocket. Can't seem to find a place that has them, any idea's?
A 92' engine what? Lots of engines built in 1992. Assuming your working on a 3.8 , just get a new timing chain set, should come with new crank and cam sprockets along with chain.

Yes that is the sprockets(gears) I was talking about. I have a tool already, I used it to remove the intermediate shaft sprocket. The engine is down to the block and going to have it cleaned and see if it needs to be bored out. I'll check around the yards we have around here but it will be a slim chance. I'm thinking any car with the 3.4 DOHC would work to perhaps? Monte Carlo in 95 I think had them.
So i found a used sprocket and i'm starting to put the lower end together and had a question about the rod and pistons. I have new pistons installed on the rods and the pistons have a notch. The manual states they should face the front, with them facing the front 3 out of 6 rods are backwards with the bearing notches. Does this matter?
