Cam for before and after turbo?

Im looking to cam my gt this weekend, but I want it to be a good investment for after i have the money to make the turbo jump. Im thinking the zzp GT cam but im not sure how that will function after a turbo. hopefully i can do the least amount of playing with timing and such in the process

It'll work well. Wasn't long ago I tossed an XP into a turbo Regal. I fell in love on the first drive. Pretty sure it had more than my old setup (~450chp on the old).

Takes a good amount to impress me, this car had no trouble.

any cam will perform better than stock, but some will work better than others.

which one did you have in mind?

so the ZZP GT cam will be cool after turbo as well? and should i buy the gt1 or gt2 package? im thinkin gt2 right?

Any cam will help, not sure which would be the absolute best. Personally..I'd put it in before or at the same time because disconnecting all the turbo pipes etc kinda sucks.

Been there, done that.

I'd like to but i don't really trust myself haha. Bolt ons, exhaust, intake etc. is cool but I don't wanna put this thing in and blow up my motor haha

it's not all that difficult to do once you get into it. i would not let a mechanic charge me the $800 that they are going to charge you to do it. save that money and take a whole weekend and take your time. there are install writeups online for a cam swap.

also, GT2 needs headwork, no? if that is the case, why not get a GT3?

Yeah, I'm gonna go with the GT1, but one more question, if I go with a cheaper eBay turbo instead of the z3, how much should I expect to pay to have a crossover fabricated to fit a zzp turbo downpipe?

ebay turbo is going to fail on you. it's way cheaper in the end to buy all the piping from ZZP and a nice turbo from somewhere that you know is quality.

having a crossover fabricated is going to cost you a fortune.

hmm... decisions decisions... this is one of hose days i wish about 4 G's would fall out of the sky:th_shakinghead2:
