I'm wanting to mod my car in compliance to California smog standard. I know you guys know it can be a tricky maybe pricey rout but as long as there's a carb sticker we are good. I'm Looking to get a 3.4 or 3.5 pulley. Any recommendations or suggestions or tips on what supporting mods I can do and what I can buy to get by smog?

The easiest way would be with a cam or rockers that keep your PCM happy. K&N has an intake for the 97-05s that comes with a carb sticker, and TOG headers I believe come with carb stamp, but both of those like you said are pricey. Even with all of that it still is kind of up to the tech who smogs your car. I passed with a K&N intake, plog, AL 104s, 180* TS, 8.5mm wires, with a 3.6 pulley and Overkill tune, but the plog is not carb compliant.(maybe the tech let it pass because it was shiny lol)

Which rockers and camshaft do you recommend? I'm new to those. What should I know beforDo you have plog or rockers?e buying them? How much is something like that to be installed at shop?

I got my Yella Terra 1.9 ratio roller rockers from Intense racing, but the price has gone up since then. Also Harland Sharp also has a 1.9 roller rocker, but zzp and the w-body store have modified rockers as well for a bit cheaper. If you do a cam, then zzp has a VS cam that is a mild cam that should make more power than rockers and keep your PCM happy, and I think Intense has a stage 1 cam that is similar. As for what you should do fisrt, very simple, regular maintenance, plugs wires, wires, oil changes, trans fluid, lim/mainfold/valve cover gaskets. What's more important than all of the performance stuff is to scan your car and see what type of KR car is at before you modify anything, and read this http://www.grandprixforums.net/threads/17482-Safely-Modding-Your-3800-Powered-Car!!. Also remember we're Cali, we have to pay to play lol, if you don't learn to do some of this your self, most, "performance shops" are going to charge you $500-$1000+ for an install. It's not that easy for us in Cali, your going to have to do a bit of homework in order to make a bit more power.

Where were you guys when i was on San Diego

TOG headers are CARB certified, the TOG head quarters was actually in Encinitas, California
