Cadillac trans swap?

has anybody ever heard of swapping out the 4t65e hd trans for an eldorado trans? the 4t80e or whatever it is. somebody told me that it would be a good swap cuz those ransmissions are very strong but u have to cut the harness and do some other modifications to make it fit. anybody know anything about this?
 


The gearing is what you need to be concerned about so your pcm will cooperate with the 4t80e. I dont know what else would need to be done. Im wondering how I could get a 4t580e in my 02 GP GT as well or if its even worth it.
 
Wikipedia says its 60lbs heavier than a comparable 4t65e or 4t60e and i cant find a gear ratio that will work. guess that counts it out.
