built 97-02 transmission swap into an 04+ car

I found an 04 GTP that is in a lot better shape than my 2001 Special Edition. The transmission in my 2001 is a built dynotech and is supposed to be able to handle quite a bit of power. How feasible would a swap be of the transmission from my 2001 into the 2004? I have a turbo kit to install on my 2001, but if I could put it on the 2004 with the built transmission already swapped in, that would be better.
 


I remember reading about one person doing the swap, so I think it's possible, just not sure how feasible. it would have to be simple for me to consider doing it.
 
its very possible with a little work. You will need a 04+ Valve Body and Channel plate with harness. It also depends if you have an Internal or External range Switch (and even that can be converted) all other parts in the trans are the same,
 
You COULD make it work by swapping over the VB, CP, harness and PNP switch...

BUT...

Part of what makes a "built" trans special is the work done to the valve body. Not just the hard parts.
 
thanks for the input, sounds like it will be easier just to drop the transmission out of the 04 and get it built instead of swapping the parts over. tearing into a transmission is beyond my ability level.
