Broken passenger windshield wiper help

Recently my passenger windshield wiper stopped working. When it was snowy/icey I didn't let my windows fully defrost and tried using the wiper blades being in a rush to get going to work and I think something broke. The drive side works fine but the passenger won't go up or move at all. It went for a bit of kind've half moving but not it doesn't move at all.

Yesterday I tried to see if a bolt was loose or something and noticed when my car is turned off if I try to move the drive windshield wiper up it's pretty locked in place but the passenger one was loose and I could move it freely up and down which told me something is broke.

My question is how do I fix this? Do I need to buy a whole need wiper or what can I do. Any help would be appreciated and links to how to fix it if I can or links to where I can buy a new one and how easy is it to install. Thank you, just would like this fixed kind've a pain when it's raining now and I only have one wiper, not to mention looking like a idiot .

could be the arm is bad (most common) or the wiper transmission broke (under the cowl) pull the arm off and look at where it goes on if it's chewed up there is your problem, under $30 new

So have you taken a look to see if the wiper arm nut is loose? Just take a screwdriver and pop off the cap and try tightening the bolt.
