Broken... lower control arm?

I'm not a suspension guru by any means, but as far as I know that's what it's called.

I've been driving on it like this for months now without even being aware of it. I always assumed that it was the struts creaking when I would hit large bumps. Well, the time comes for a tire rotation and once I get to this side of the car, this is what I'm presented with:

Sorry if I break the forum, I don't have time to resize or write a fancy post.

Bottom line: is this repairable? It's pretty well ripped off of the frame. This would also explain the odd "swaying" feeling I would get when taking sharp turns.

looks like the trailing arm bracket.

Call your local dealer and see if they still have one and some new bolts.

Don't worry about breaking the forum, it typically resizes pictures.
 
Thats a rear Trailing arm/track bar.

Did the bolts completely rip out of the body and tear holes in it?

It might be fixable, if it can be bolted or welded to the body again.

Yeah, because it's right near the jacking location. It's pretty well ripped up. I'll go out now and try and get a better picture.

It will be hard to get a good penetrating weld with all that rust.

Berlusconi: Do you have any welding experiance or know anyone that has alot of experiance?
 
I do have welding experience, but I know other people who are more experienced than myself. It's just a matter of cleaning up the area enough (if even possible) to get a weld, and once it's all cleaned up for a weld, how to weld everything into place.

This couldn't have come at a worse time. I just found out my girlfriend's pregnant yesterday and this car is my only method of transportation.

unless you stick weld it, you have to have shiny metal to get a proper weld. And even with a good weld, it's more then likely going to break over time from all the stress. Even with stick welding, you will have to clean it up way better then what it is now.
 
I'm waiting on a response from a few of my mom's friends as to who has what available.

It doesn't have to be a permanent fix, but the car is my DD until my new job starts. I can only imagine that the other one is on the verge of breaking itself. Would this explain the unevenly wearing tires?
 
Given that, what would happen if I were to continue driving on this? It scares the **** out of me thinking I've been driving 80+ miles per hour down 69.
 
Dam that sucks
If this was my project I would be on the phone with a junk yard asking them if they could cut out a good lower control arm mount then I would weld the new one in place
