brakes knocking after change

Yesterday, I changed the front pads and rotors on my 04 GTP. I made a few light and moderate stops, no problem. But when I went for a hard stop, i heard a hard pop, and now every time i brake, there is a rhythmic knocking from the left side that slows down as the car stops. I've taken the whole assembly apart and put it back together. I replaced the anti-rattle clips and tried disabling the ABS, but it still knocks. It doesn't knock if I use the transmission to slow down, coasting or going in reverse. Only forward and when applying the brakes, and it can't be heard from outside the car. There wont be any shops open till after the weekend, so does anyone have any ideas?

Experienced this before on a set of brakes I put on a buick at work, I was stumped. Want to know what it was? The rotors had a spiral cut that was deep enough that when applied hard, it pulls the pad inward, releases, over and over again. Time to warranty out the rotors. Are they autozone brakes by chance?
