ok im running stock rears and f body fronts with napa pads and stock impala rotors just was wondering if there is a pad and rotor that will resist brake fade better

Its the pad. Post pictures of your rotors.

But im willing to bet its all pad.

I destroyed ebc reds so I would suggest hawk streets or hawk plus.

No cracking?

If no, you're good.

Cracking is a sign the rotor has had enough.

Have to laugh at this guy:

Workhorse - Cracked Brake Rotors

It IS normal for a rotor under severe use to crack in this fashion.

The pads to make a huge difference. The napa cheapies are decent, but upgrading would give you a lot more.

Going out on a line here since I really know very little about what I chose, I picked up R1 Concepts rotors and their scorched pads. No fade no issues..although the rotors after 35K abusive miles of me showing everyone how well it stops..are starting to get small cracks near the unecessary drilled holes. Which I wouldn't do again.

Brake fluid may contribute to some fade as it heats up. Next brake job, I'd suggest flushing it as well.

thanks i will try some hawk pads and when i take my car in for a allignment here soon ill get the brakes flushed i did notice it was pretty dark when i bled them
