I just wanted to know if it is normal that both AC compressor pulley and water pump went bad on my 2008 GP with only 110000km/68350mi
I was driving and the car was working perfectly and all of a suddent the car started to make a terrible griding noise and for shure it was the pulley and water pump. I take real good car on my car, never beat it or anything but we did have a terrible winter and the the motor was packed by snow 4 times (I don't have a garage). I am just currious to see if other people have had the same problems. Thanks.
 


On my 05, AC went at around 80,000 miles, but it was due to a leak. The compressor bearing DOES make a strange noise though, so I'll probably replace that. My water pump started leaking out the weep hole about 5,000 miles later. It's probably just bad luck really, I know lots of guys who have no problems with their water pumps and AC.

You can get a used compressor for cheap from Morad Parts, that's my plan for the summer.
