bose sytem bad, looking at a new system

so the sytem im gp is blown and so i was planning on a new system. id like to keep the system fairly cheap but not a piece of crap.

i was looking at two 10" jl audio subs and an autotech 1000 watt amp. will that work? do you think i need two? or will one be enough?

and the next step is just speakers, what size speakers will fit in the old bose system? would i need a whole other amp for those speakers? any suggestions?
