Bose sound system

Ok.. i got a 2003 with bose sound. looking to get a head unit with a cassette player that can operate a slave cd changer. so i can use that input for an ipod instead. question is will the bose system work the older HU's with a cassette player? anyone done this?
 


Interesting question... You'd need to take a look at the back of your HU and compare it to that of a cassette version. You could try the local wrecker, they might have one.

i know ours has a cassette player accessory. so i would think it works!?!? what a PITA
 


i will.. got one off ebay for eighty bucks.. hope its worth it. if not it works on my buddys vette for sure so he can just buy it!! win win i guess
 
Totally noobish question here, got an 02, is it blatantly obvious whether or not I have a bose system? Looking to swap in an aftermarket headunit and complete system, just trying to get my ducks in a row b4 I jump into it.
