Bose problem

I have an '02 GTP with the Bose system. The front speakers do not work unless turned up louder then only the right front comes in. I have done stereo installs years ago, but know nothing about these Bose systems. I have been told they have individual amps on the front speakers? Anybody have any ideas where to check to get this working? I have done enough damage to my hearing with past stereo systems, so I want to keep it stock, but make it all work properly. Not sure if it makes a difference, but it has Onstar as well. I have been told that Onstar works through the front speakers. Could Onstar be related to this problem?

to save u alotta headaches... swap all the stock stuff out... if ur not into spending alotta money on sound... go to wal mart and get a cheap pioneer deck and speakers.
