Boost gauge shows boost

I did a L26 top swap on my 2001 gtp l67 car, and sometimes the boost gauge reads boost. I'm not sure why or how it's possible, so that's the question.
 


Head work or a bigger camshaft can make it possible in some cases to see positive pressure in the intake manifold.

You have made the motor more efficient.
