my bolt to my mount bracket that bolts to the block is missing, how do i find out what size bolt to buy, even if someone has a general idea on where to start with sizing, I have no clue and do not want to buy the whole mount for just one bolt. thanks so much!

all i know is they are underneath not on top.as far as my research goes im pretty sure there is the two on bottom(transmission and other one) and then the one on top.????

I'm assuming you're referring to the cradle that bolts to the block and goes under the passenger side of the engine?

I'm usually good with newbs and odd descriptions for the parts we all know and love..... you got me stumped as to what you are talking about. :th_thumbsup-wink:

first off, im a women and we make everything more confusing lol :) and second i took my car to car x to have them tell me what was wrong with it cus i had a real bad wheel hop or front end shake, and this is exactly what he wrote on my service invoice:engine mount brackets that bolt to block are missing bolts. engine is shifted to the right causing l/f axle to bind. lift engine-align bracket holes-install bolts-replace mounts if needed.
So I know when he had the car up in the air and showed me, one was on the driver side, and one was on the passenger side, both underneath the car.
If i am still confusing you then dont worry about it haha, i just dont want to cave and pay their outrageous prices. :)

Oh..Car X.. yikes. I've heard stories and am thankful we don't have them around here.

Sounds like your motor and transmission mounts are bad. The missing bolt part, well there are some bolts that shouldn't be able to loosen themselves or come free...shouldn't. The motor shifting like the description says, sounds like a bad motor mount more than anything else.

Based on the description alone, I'd say take the car to someone else!
But, it does sound like something to do with motor mounts and/or their brackets.
