So I posted a thread similar to this but didnt get much reply and didnt have pictures so i figured id start a new one with pics. Ive got some overspray from the previous owners touch up job lol and rusted wheel wells, a chip of paint gone, and a spot of fading clear coat. I know ill only get a real quote from a bodyshop but was wondering what you guys think/if theres anything i could just do myself, ill try to get some pics up in a few minutes thanks lol

if you got the balls, you could fix that with one of the duplicolor kits, filler, sand paper, paint, and clear, some wet sanding and then buffing and your all set.

like i said they have how to vids.

you be surprised what just porter cable orbital buffer can do for paint too. my car was a night and day difference after that. brings all the dull paint back to life.

Yeah Im not too confident in getting the body work done myself hahah but what would be good to use to get that gritty overspray off? theres quite a bit

if compound wont take it off. most of the time it will, by hand, better with a PC, you could wet sand it off, lightly, then buff the sanding scratches out. use real fine paper, 2500 to 3500 grit on clean paint, with warm soapy water.

go watch some vids, its not so bad really, small areas look pretty easy.

ive been thinking about doing my bumpers myself. they are faded real bad. the rear bumper looks like the last owner hit everything they backed up too, lots of nicks to fill in.

yeah once theres some nice weather ill try and get somethin done, but for those spots i think ill just take it to a body shop when i can spend the money lol
