BMR strut tower brace rubs alternator

2004 SE 3.1L

Properly installed BMR front strut tower brace is so close to alternator that they come in contact when transmission is engaged and throttle applied. Anyone have any experience with this?

I don't think it was made to clear the 3.1 or 3.4.. Could be wrong.. And why does your 04 have a 3.1?

04 only came with 3.8 or 3.8sc not 3.1

It still shouldn't unless you have a gxp. So something might be wrong.g. pics

This is a known issue. You might want to get a GM STB off an Impala that came with a 3.1 to clear it. The bar is literally bent around the alt.
