blower motor will not shut off

I replaced the blower resistor and a new wire connector for blower motor resistor now the blower motor will not shut off. The blower runs wide open, no speed settings work. could this be the blower relay gone bad? if so where is it located? thanks

the fan is wired to the resistor. you may have a ignition harness going bad. you can pull the fuse so the battery dont die on you till its fixed.

Do you think that i may have gotten the wrong resistor? i ordered it from rock auto and there were quite a few to choose from/

If your blower is running at one speed and wont change speeds with the A/c controls, then i would chek the ground wires on the resistor plug you wired up. The fan motor adjust speeds with a ground signal. hope this helps or if you fixed it let us know what the issue n the fix was. good luck

Hello, i had the same problem with my GTP we thought it was a fried ECU shorting out the resistor causing it to blow constant. It happened to actually be the A/C Heat control deck itself. When i turned the speed adjuster all the way up it was frying my resistor. hope this helps
