• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Blew my engine up, Heres a ton of photos of me replacing it.

Frosty

I Write E85 Stickies
Yea 13:1 afr didnt work out so well for my engine. Found a l67 in absolutely perfect shape for 400$ with a almost perfect transmission thrown in. What can I say I have connections ;) Anyways I know you guys like photos so enjoy. All of the work was done at adecker's place (Orange turbo 04 prix)

Dragging the extremely old home made engine hoist 2 blocks to deckers place.

Replacement engine

Starting to remove the unneeded bits

Hood is out of the way.

Last known photo of the old setup

Did I mention it was hot out? Jumbo fan with no safety features to the rescue

Prepping for engine pull... Did I mention this was my first engine pull on a grand prix?

Going up

4 Hours. Not bad for my first engine pull in a grand prix. Had lots of practice doing just about every other job.

Hey look. Extra space! You can even see my squishafied torque converter.

New vs old

Hey look. That explains all of the metal on metal action

Baby turbo I offered to decker as thanks for offering his garage.

More shots of the old setup

Was driving the goat to the shop when I saw this. Video games have prepared me for this moment.

Replacement engine naked

Look how clean this dang thing is

1.9 rockers installed and valvecovers back on

Modding the L67 Lim for the GenV blower and intercooler

Hogged out the bypass cover and did the bill boost coolant blockoff

It was actually really nice out at sunset

Lim and new water pump all installed

Hey look! Thats a supercharger and intercooler

Old oil pan had some minor rust starting so I cleaned it up and painted it. New engines pan got smashafied in transit :(

Frickin balancer bolts lemmie tell ya.

Got me a bigger wrench. Big wrench won the battle. 8 rib balancer installed.

Got the rails on, Managed to drop a stock rail stud down an injector hole... 10 minutes and much profanity later got it out

Decker has lots of interesting stuff in his shop for trevor to play with

Engine ready to install

It puts the engine in the bay or it gets the torch!

Installation is a reversal of removal (Trevor is laughing in the photo due to mooning me when I wasn't paying attention)

Looking good

Thats a first

Hey look! It made the 10 mile journey home. No hood because im a child deep down. Notice the needle nose on the drivers headlight? Yea that made the ride home too without falling off fortunately.

Video of me racing a 2010 camaro SS supercharged a few days later once I got it dialed in with HPTuners... Driver skill is vital if you don't wanna lose to a stupid grand prix.
