Blackberry Storm 2 No Sound

Hi. I dropped my blackberry storm 2 yesterday (luckily it was in my otterbox case) and now the sound will not work. I have tried re-seating the battery to get it to restart and removing my memory card and changing settings and nothing has worked. I looked online on support forums and wasn't able to find a better fix than to re-seat the battery. Any suggestions? I really need to get it fixed as I use it as my alarm clock. lol.

It isn't broken as far as i can tell. I dropped it before and the screen cracked, but not enough to not be able to use it properly. I then bought a heavy duty case for it. The sound will work randomly for about a second when you go to open a game.

Open it up. Likely, either the speaker came unplugged or you borked a soldered wire. You can't fix broken things by re-seating batteries. I'm assuming that if you came to a car forum with a phone problem that your warranty is out.

I just bought the phone within the last month. I have warranty on it, but really don't want to send it away for a month. Was trying to see if there was an easy fix that I haven't heard of that doesn't require it being taken apart.

I really don't want to get rid of it. I like the phone. I may send it back to see if it can be fixed. I'm in a 3 year contract now.

try to re-load the operating system.. It's worth a shot. go to blackberry.com and get the desktop manager to manager the operating system.... but, you're probably right, it's probably broken.... and if it's under warranty, then don't put toooo much work into it.

Since when did reseating a battery or SD memory card fix a speaker problem...? That's just stupid. :th_scratchhead:

And second of all when did this become a cell phone forum. :th_wtf: LOL. :th_laugh-lol3: Blackberry's are full of FAIL. I've had one and all it gave me was problems. Cut your losses and get a real phone like a Droid.

---Update---

The sound is now working. I took it to the dealer I bought it from and they thought that the speaker was shot. I took it home and started watching some videos on youtube and the sound was faint at first and then went back to normal after a few minutes.
