I have an 07 basic Grand Prix and the headlights look terrible. I want to replace them but I can't tell what lights were on it originally. I checked the option sheet and there is no mention of the colour of the headlights. They appear to be clear on the surface with black underneath. Was this based on the exterior colour which is listed as light tarnished grey or how do I tell what colour they were originally. What is the name of the colour. Are they called black, or smoked or tinted?

As far as I am aware all the headlights had the same exact part number no matter the options the car came equipped with.
All of the replacement housings if stock are going to look the same. There are aftermarket units from various vendors that make change certain aspects of the lights.
If you look on a site like rockauto, they sell the TYC brand which is just a remake of the factory lights that are no longer produced. They are clear lense, chrome reflector with black accents.
