Biggest complaint with your Grand Prix

I know i have my complaints with my car ( i love it though)

1. wish it was RWD: now, i like FWD cars and i prefer the steering feed back better but i feel like we could have had a better car if it was made in a RWD configuration with the same numbers, now that would be really impressive.

2. Wish it had better protection to the rockers from contaminants/RUST ISSUES!!!!!: Every single SE/GT/GTP 1997-2003 I've seen have their rockers taken away from mother nature :/ looks very bad when you open the door and it's killed plenty of these cars when it gets through the towers....(even worse for our Canadian drivers)

3. hard to put key back into auxiliary mode: anybody that likes to listen to your tunes while the car is off you know you have to turn the key back to get it to keep the interior electronics on. Mine is very hard to turn back, most of the time i must push the key all the way forward (except start) and then all the way back. Annoying.

4. Transmission: it's like the lottery, some of them are great, and some are really really bad...

5. Sleeper factor: This is both a good and bad thing, I find a lot of guys don't even blink an eye at the car when they come up on you. They don't know what's under the hood ;)

That's my list of things i dislike.

What's yours?

Biggest complaint is that they don't still make them, lol.

Hmm..rear wheel drive is nice. You could put it in a different body, not sure what or why. Monza maybe?

Some of that other stuff is addressed on the newer ones. Rust remains my biggest gripe.

There's aesthetic things like the interior plastics/trim/upholstery, but I didn't buy the car wanting a cushy tourer.

wbody transmission is too weak
wbody rocker panels rust
wbody abs sensor issues
wbody lower oem engine mount leaks often
grand prix specific crappy audio buttons on steering wheel
wbody stupid location for oil filter
wbody hvac resistor
wbody headliner sucks cause they become loose

I would look into a LS1 6 speed GTO. They can be had for about 1k more than a GXP. I love the power of my F-Body but enjoy the daily driver factor of my GTP. GTP has heads up display, Hysterical super charger whine and 4 doors, easy to work on, and parts can be had at junkyards for next to nothing. I picked up complete 05+ leather seats for under $100.

Weak trans, flimsy suspension, terrible headlights, the list goes on...

Basically it's cheap. Both bad, and good. Cheap parts, cheap upgrades, and cheap to buy another one.
