Big Springs, Texas

Just got word a few moments ago that the Alon USA refinery in Big Springs, Texas exploded.

I don't know much more information about it at the time, other than there is a crater sitting where the refinery used to be and the damage is obviously going to be substantial, not to mention the loss of life.

I'm sure you'll see more of it on the news once they get word of it.

Very sad.

It's quite a good ways from me, but I know a few people who work there. My Dad works at one of the terminals located here in Wichita Falls, and some of the workers up here temporarily live in Big Springs.

Wow, was reading a news article about this a few moments ago and it says that only 4 people were hurt. I don't know how the hell no one died unless they knew what was about to happen and started evacuating as quickly as possible.

None the less thats pretty awesome to hear, but the refinery is a total loss.

Jesus from the picture, you would think someone set off a nuke or something. That is some spectactular damage. And thankfully from what Street said. So far only 4 people have been hurt. That in itself is truly amazing.

My only downside to this is how the Oil Companies are gonna capitalize off this tragedy
