Best Wheel Hub.. ABS problems

So I think I'll be having to change the front right hub on my 04 Comp G. I'm restoring the car and I found an inspection sheet stating the ABS light was on before the guy got into the accident and that there was play with the hub I'm talking about. Anyone have good brands they go with?

NOTE: I'll be getting the car scanned for the problem but just incase I do have to change out the hub or speed sensor, I'd like to know what I'm looking for.

moog, timken, or skf. all of them have a 3 years warranty, buy them local.

stay away from those 30 bucks for pair off ebay, they are junk.

see the trick is buy local, then when the other side goes bad use the warranty from the new hub on the old hub, they dont know jack at the store, ive done it.

Amazon honored warranty on (2) 4 years later. Turned out not the problem but they shipped them to me and paid for the shipping back.

Buy ones that have 3 year warranty. 90 warranty ones last a little more than 90 days up to 1 year.

If you buy locally you can just warranty them right then and there and not have to worry about the downtime. May cost a few $ more but your avoid the waiting game.

Thanks guys. I'll have to check out the prices on the hub where I live. A good point on not waiting on the warranty, I didn't even think of that.

Moog is the only one i can find in town and it'll run me $174.00 plus 5% tax. Should I just go with a Timken online? Or just bite the bullet with that retarded price?

How much are the timkens online? I for one would not spend $174 on a hub that will eventually need replacing again

I briefly checked on eBay to compare prices and the first one I saw was $30 cheaper and I'm sure I can find one much cheaper still. I can't believe we get hosed that hard with parts, hence why UPS & Fedex are always at my door lol.

if your close to the boarder come to the us and buy a hub on line and pick it up at the local store. hell bring tools change it in the parking lot.

that way your not bringing anything home with you.

Yeah, I've found out that american prices are a lot cheaper than Canadians. eBay has a Timken for 130-140 shipped, so I'll probably go with that. Better than $180+ locally

thats a lot better price, even if you have to wait. make sure theres a warranty with them. should be a 3 year warranty.
