• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Best upgrade path/questions.

I've got a couple options, just wondering what would be the best, in your guys opinion.

SD Headers + Tune + pulley drop (not sure what size is safe)
E85 + Pulley drop (Not sure what size is safe)
Downpipe + plog + Pulley drop (Not sure what size is safe)

Also, can one of you guys link me to what you use for scanning KR.

My remaining budget is about a grand, anything else after the upgrades will go towards my TEP Tranny jar c:

The car is my DD for winter and summer. Heard about E85 having a different mix depending on season.

Completely irrelevant but I was in the market for a GP GXP, uncle ended up contacting me giving an offer for his 06 GTO, LS2 V8, 6spd Manual, RWD. I Can get the GP GXP for about 5k or the GTO for 12k. Will only be driving these cars in the summer and will not be my DD. What do you guys think the GXP or the GOAT?

GTO hands down!!!!

Buy yourself an aeroforce scan gauge. It is a very good investment! https://zzperformance.com/3800/gauge-gauge-pods/aeroforce-intercepter-scan-gauge.html

What year GTP?? I would go with the headers, tune, and maybe put some roller rockers on it. I run a 3.4 pulley on my 04 Comp G with no knock.

I really like my Grand Prix GXP. I've never had a GTO or driven one, but the GTO will start at 400 hp and weighs less than the GXP, so will definitely be faster. You will probably have more upgrade options with the GTO.

I had an 04 gto m6 for awhile. It was barely a 13 second car, but so much fun to drive. So, the gto is my vote.

As far as mods, you should look into buying a tuner. Then switch to e85. With a few tricks, you can get e85 to start well in the winter too. You could add 60lb injectors and run at least a 3.4. Probably a 3.2 or 3.0.

Headers have been shown to be largely ineffective on these cars and usually cause more headaches than they are worth.

Given the years and miles on your stock cat and mufflers, you may see a gain from swapping those out.

currently i'm going Downpipe + plog + Pulley drop

so far got a 3" catted downpipe, rez delete front plog, FWI and some other small things, next will be an over kill tune and then intercooling/rockers hopefully.
